Black is Absolute

What a lovely weekend we've had here in Vancouver. Sharai and I decided to go have a lovely brunch before our shoot with our long-time friend, Robbie. We went to an adorable little breakfast place called Angelina's in New West, which had the yummiest breakfast and so many options to choose from. If you haven't been there, I highly recommend trying it out. After brunch, we went down to the pier and took some pictures.  It was really foggy out, which was beautiful to look while on the water. Although it was numbingly cold, we did our best to get some good shots of today's look for you all.

Our item for today, or in this case - colours, is Navy and Black. Most people will tell you, according to the laws of wearing colours, that black and navy do not go together...Well forget what you heard, folks! Sharai and I have come up with looks that mix both navy and black without having that awkward colour clash, Sharai even threw in some brown, which is another alleged "no-no". We are believers that black goes with everything - no matter what! We abide by this, new and improved, rule at all times. When it comes to dressing day to day - black and brown, black and navy, black and black - it just works. No questions asked.  Sharai wore a navy Talula sweater with a black Zara blazer, jeans and a gray toque. I wore a navy Tibi dress with a black Mackage jacket and red Joy Gryson for IIIbecca bag.
