You would never break the chain

We’ve done a couple posts before on accessories, and have also featured some great pieces with Sarah Mulder Art Jewelry…Which FYI we will be posting the second part of our collab very soon!  Sharai and I both love accessioning. Whether it’s watches, necklaces, stacking or rings. An outfit is not complete without a little bling.  Since we’ve already done statement necklaces, we thought we’d feature something a little more subtle today. Something you can wear to compliment an outfit but not overpower it.  Chunky chains are huge right now and we are absolutely on board with the fad. The item we chose today is a simple silver chain. This item is something Sharai and I have been wearing a lot lately. No matter what the occasion, there are plenty of different styles and link sizes to work with every outfit, and if you’re feeling extra sassy, we recommend a gold chain for those night time looks.
Sharai is wearing her silver bling with a grey tank dress and black blazer. I am wearing mine with a black and white bold print one piece and white blazer.

Spring is finally here, and Vancouver has been just lovely lately! Other than a few random days of rain…but we’re definitely not complaining. We couldn’t  be more excited to start off this season with the spring time items we love.  When the sun is shining, and the weather starts to heat up,  but isn’t too hot…and everything is in bloom and looking so beautiful...Ahhhh we love it!  It really just makes you want to wear something light and flowy. Something simple easy, that you can wear with any ensemble. We tried to think of what our first staple piece for spring would be if we could pick. The first thing Sharai and I thought of was a cami tank. Although you can wear these bad boys in the wintertime as well, We love the simplicity and versatility that comes with wearing a light fabric cami in the springtime. Sharai is wearing a black cami with white jeans and a black floppy hat.  I am wearing a red cami with a lip print skirt and color block heels.

Black Skinnies

What is more versatile than a pair of black skinny jeans? Black skinny jeans are probably in the top 5 most versatile things you can have in your closet. Sharai and I were actually surprised that we hadn't featured it on the blog yet! Especially because it combines two of Sharai’s favourite things…skinny jeans, and the color black.
It almost goes without saying that this item should 100% be in your closet. A pair of black skinnies works in so many ways.  Dress them up for a night on the town or wear them with some casual kicks while doing your daily activities. Sharai is rocking a pair of black True Religion skinnies and a pop of color with her neon clutch. I am wearing a pair of black Rag and Bone jeans with a side zipper detail and a bold print blazer.

Russian Red

You know when you get ready for the day, and you put on your clothes...but something is missing? You choose what you want to wear, and in your head it looks fabulous, but then you put it on... not as fabulous as you thought!
Sometimes you just want to wear black, but don't want to give off a funeral vibe, and sometimes you want to wear a floral print but keep a little sex appeal.
All of the instances I just mentioned can be solved with one thing...A classic red lip.
Sharai and I haven't featured anything to do with cosmetics so far on the blog, but we thought with the amount of times we rock a red lip, its definitely a staple piece of our or not. I can't even count the amount of times I have felt meh about an outfit and as soon as I throw on my red lipstick, VIOLA!  There is something about red lips makes you feel classy, sexy and beautiful all at once.
Sharai and I wear a lot of red lipstick! We love, love, love it. So much so, that we decided to do today's feature on one of our favorites. MAC Russian Red is a lipstick both Sharai and I have been using for a very long time. It's the perfect bold red color and has a matte finish we adore.

Beauty to me, is about being comfortable in your own skin. That, or a kick ass red lipstick.
